first timer
Last weekend, I was so lucky to venture to New York City with
Katie to visit Emily. It was my first trip there and we could not have had a better hostess.
I knew when Emily emailed us beforehand asking us what we like for breakfast, what we like to drink, the itinerary, and a weather update, we were in for a weekend of major Emily-love.
And she certainly exceeded my expecations. She was a wonderful hostess and Katie and I couldn't be more grateful for her hospitality.
We had an amazing weekend of sight seeing (I loved
Rockefeller Center the most), walking everywhere (my favorite was Central Park), and enjoying the city to its fullest capacity (particularly via food).
I also loved being in
Bryant Park, the past home of fashion week, and I really wish I could try the
free Bryant Park yoga sponsored by
Lululemon. However, because we weren't there for the free yoga, we enjoyed Happy Hour, which was not free, and didn't provide the same end result, but was equally as fun.
After spending a full weekend with Katie and Emily, I was reminded that they are one of my very favorite best friend pairs and I am so happy they've accepted me into their lives.
They say the next reunion is going to be in Indiana and I can't wait to show them everything Hoosiers have to offer. It will certainly be different than our time in Atlanta and NYC, but I think they're going to love it here too. I'm thinking happy hour at
The Friendly might put Bryant Park to shame...
