Root, root, root for the home team
Almost as much as I love summers by the lake, I love an evening baseball game (I said almost). They've become somewhat of a tradition in the last few years and they make me so excited.
I recently learned that in 1935, the first MLB night game was played between the Reds and the Phillies at Crosley Field in Cincinnati.
It'd be perfect if I was going to a Braves game tonight to commemorate the anniversary, but I didn't really have much of a warning, here, seeing as when I say I learned about it recently, I mean yesterday...
Instead I'm going to a cookout, but I'll be certain to hum Take Me Out to the Ball Game every chance I get.
I might also watch the Sandlot. It feels right.
